The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced on Thursday that oil demand growth will remain at 4.2 million bpd, with no changes from the previous month's data. The figure expresses some optimism due to economic conditions, the institution said.

"Industrial activities are also anticipated to accelerate, boosting diesel demand. Meanwhile, mobility has recovered substantially with domestic, regional, and international flights already showings signs of recovery," OPEC added in its February report.

According to the text, world oil demand in 2021 is upwardly revised by 17,000 bpd to stand now at 5.7 million bpd, mainly because of the latest trends in data reported in all regions.
