Former United States Vice President Mike Pence submitted a request to block a subpoena for his testimony before the grand jury about the events that transpired on January 6, 2021, when the US Capitol was breached, CNN reported on Monday.
The former vice president's legal team filed a motion at a federal court on Friday when former President Donald Trump's attorneys reportedly made the same request, citing executive privilege.
The Department of Justice had already asked a judge to order Pence's presence before the grand jury.
