Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov insisted on Wednesday that NATO is "wrong" to claim there is no evidence Russia is reducing the number of its troops around the Ukrainian border and added the alliance has a "problem" in its situation assessment system.
Peskov also stressed Moscow is "sick of threats" the West is repeating against it "like a mantra" and warned it is "highly likely" Ukraine will launch a military operation in Donbass.
The comments come after the European Union and NATO claimed there is no evidence Moscow is withdrawing some of its troops from the Ukrainian border despite Moscow announcing such a move, noting the troops completed their military drills. Meanwhile, the pro-Russian Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) claimed Ukraine is boosting its military presence near Russian and Belarusian borders.
