Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro (pictured) labeled China as the "biggest disruptor" of peace in Southeast Asia on Tuesday, as tensions between the two countries over disputed reefs in the South China Sea continue to rise, AFP reported.
"China... is the biggest disruptor of international peace in the ASEAN region," Teodoro told an annual military conference of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, referring to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. "We are struggling against a more powerful adversary," Teodoro stressed.
He also called for a "collective consensus and a strong call out against China."
