His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was buried on Saturday at the Royal Vault at Saint George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, in the presence of 30 family members, including his widow Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, with the service officiated by the Dean of Windsor and the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Prince Philip's coffin was followed by his children Charles, Prince of Wales, Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex; his grandsons Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Peter Philips; his son-in-law Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence; and his nephew David Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon.

The duke died on April 9 at the age of 99. Born a prince of Greece and Denmark, he served in the British Royal Navy during the Second World War as First Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten. Philip married the then-Princess Elizabeth and became a British subject in 1947. In 2019, at the age of 96, he retired from his royal duties.
