Russia has registered the Sputnik Light coronavirus vaccine, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), an agency that stands behind the development of the jab alongside Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, confirmed on Thursday.
The single-dose jab, which is actually the first dose of Russia's Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine, proven itself to be efficient versus all known coronavirus strains, the RDIF claimed.
The developer submitted the application for the vaccine registration at the end of March, while the first deliveries are expected later in May.
