A good number of officials attending the United Nations General Assembly's 79th General Debate left the room on Friday as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu started his speech. Nonetheless, some officials stayed to show support.

During his address, Netanyahu insisted that his country is seeking peace. "Israel has made peace and will make peace again. Yet we face savage enemies who seek our annihilation and we must defend ourselves against these savage murderers," he remarked.

He underlined that many of the speakers at the UNGA podium spread "lies and slanders."
