The House Intelligence Committee is set to investigate the United States agencies' analysis of the Jamal Khashoggi murder, ranking member of the committee and Democratic legislator Adam Schiff said in an interview on Friday.
"We will certainly want to examine what the intelligence community knows about the murder," Schiff told the Washington Post. "Then it will be quite clear whether the president is relying on the intelligence community and our best source of information or whether the president is representing something very different," he added.
CIA finished its investigation into the death of the Saudi journalist last week and concluded Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered his assassination, according to a Washington Post report. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said his country would preserve its "steadfast" partnership with Saudi Arabia despite the murder of the prominent author.
