SolarWinds: New hack vectors may be discovered

SolarWinds Inc. software firm announced on Wednesday that ongoing investigations of hacker attacks point at a possibility that additional cyber strike vectors, unrelated to the company, could be discovered as the investigation continues for several weeks to come.

The news arrive following reports that FBI investigators suspect Chinese hackers to have found a software flaw that gave them access to United States federal employee payroll information.

SolarWinds systems provide software to US federal agencies and have become a victim of alleged Russian and Chinese hackers, months before the attack was finally discovered.
