Sunak appoints Victoria Atkins as health secretary

United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak named Victoria Atkins (pictured), who previously served as financial secretary to the Treasury, as the new health secretary as part of his latest government reshuffle.

Atkins will replace Steve Barclay, who was appointed environment secretary, succeeding Therese Coffey, who resigned earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Richard Holden was named Conservative Party chairman to replace Greg Hands, who was designated business minister.
