Three Taylor Swift concerts scheduled to be held in Austria were canceled on Wednesday after authorities uncovered plans for a terrorist attack at the American pop star's concerts in the Vienna region.
“With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety,” the event organizer, Barracuda Music announced on social media.
Earlier, the Austrian police said it arrested a 19-year-old with alleged ties to Islamic State (IS), adding he was radicalized on the internet and swore an "oath of allegiance" to the militant organization's current leader. The authorities also arrested another individual in connection to the plot.
