Trump says he shares views and plans with Bolsonaro

United States President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that he has fantastic working relations with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, that they share "many similar views," including the ones of trade. Trump told the reporters after their meeting that both him and Bolsonaro are dedicated to facilitating investments and reducing tariffs between two countries.

The US president reiterated he will designate Brazil as a major non-NATO ally, with the definite goal of the Latin American country accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Trump added that many deals between the two largest economies in the Western Hemisphere are being negotiated, such as tech safeguard agreement, which would enable US companies to conduct commercial space launches from Brazil.

Bolsonaro said that two presidents have discussed the possibility of intensifying the cooperation on the issue Venezuela. "Recently we have demanded that the US humanitarian aid [designated for Venezuela] pass across the [Venezuelan border]", Bolsonaro said, adding that he is confident that Washington will "end" the ongoing crisis.

Bolsonaro said that two leaders won't disclose if they had any plans for the military intervention against Maduro's regime, saying that if operation against the official Caracas leadership was discussed, it won't be announced before it was set in motion.
