Trump urges nations to stop funding IS

United States President Donald Trump called on nations to stop funding and supporting terrorism in a joint press conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on Friday.

"Stop funding, stop teaching hate, stop killing," Trump said, urging Qatar, in particular, to "immediately" stop funding extremist ideology. He said that Qatar has historically been a funder of terrorism at a "very high level."

The president also spoke about Romania as a "valuable member" of the coalition to defeat the Islamic State and said he hopes other countries in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will follow its example and start paying their fair share to the alliance.

Finally, Trump said the US is committed to the Article 5 of the NATO agreement, known as the mutual defense doctrine, according to which an attack on one ally is considered as an attack on all.
