United States President Donald Trump revealed on Tuesday that Washington plans to meet with Russia "later on today and tomorrow."

Speaking to journalists in front of the White House, Trump remarked he hopes Russia would accept the total 30-day ceasefire proposal that Ukraine had agreed to and a deal would be made. "The ceasefire is very important," he underscored. He noted that he would speak to Russian President Vladimir Putin, but added, however, that "it takes two to tango."

If Russia doesn't agree, then "we just keep going on and people are gonna get killed," the US head of state mentioned. When asked whether Zelensky is invited back to the White House, Trump answered with "sure, absolutely."
