NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg (pictured left) called once again on Turkey to ratify Finland's and Sweden's membership in the alliance. "My consistent position has been and remains that the time has come to ratify both Finland and Sweden," he said after a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu (right).

However, Cavusoglu said Turkey "can evaluate Finland's membership process separately." He added that his government is waiting for "concrete steps" from Sweden, which has "has not fully fulfilled" the obligations set out in the trilateral memorandum.
