Ukrainian presidential office adviser, Oleksiy Arestovych, announced on Thursday on his Facebook account that Russia fired 100 missiles toward Ukrainian territory, adding that incoming rockets were fired in several waves.
Kiev City Military Administration reassured the citizens on its Telegram account that the country's air defense systems are working and urged them to stay in shelter until air alerts are off.
The spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuriy Ignat, told Ukrainian Channel 24 that the missiles were launched from the area of the Caspian Sea and the waters of the Black Sea. He further noted that the rockets could be headed toward the central and western parts of the country.
