United Nations World Food Program spokesperson Abeer Etefa said on Tuesday that no aid trucks arrived in Rafah through the floating pier arranged by the United States for sea deliveries in the last two days.
The spokesperson warned that "humanitarian operations in Gaza are near collapse," adding that unless food deliveries resume to the Palestinian enclave "in massive quantities, famine-like conditions will spread."
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) previously shared that food distribution in the city of Rafah has been currently suspended due to insecurity and lack of supplies.
