Major stock market indexes in the United States opened higher on Monday as President-elect Donald Trump's business-prone cabinet decisions seemingly encouraged investors. The latter also awaited the newest earnings results from Zoom Video Communications Inc., Macy's Inc., Best Buy Co., Inc., Dell Inc., and HP Inc.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average grew by 0.75% or 333 points and went on to reach a new all-time high moments later when it hit the volume of 44,759.08 at 9:35 am ET, with Nike Inc. advancing by 1.61% at 9:31 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 garnered 0.69% or 143 points. The S&P 500 increased by 0.55% and later hit an intraday all-time high. Super Micro Computer Inc. was the best performer on the latter two indexes, soaring by 10.05% at 9:32 am ET.
The euro jumped by 1.06% against the dollar at 9:30 am ET to sell for $1.05270.
