The United States already sent the long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to Ukraine in secret and the latter country's army used it twice against Russia's troops, Politico reported on Wednesday.

According to sources familiar with the matter, more ATACMS with a range of 200 miles, or about 322 kilometers, will be included in the newest package of military aid worth $1 billion the US is preparing to deliver to Ukraine.

The US provided Ukraine with the medium-range version of ATACMS in October but the latter continued to insist on getting long-range ones.
