WH: Biden impeachment inquiry is extremism

EPA-EFE/SHAWN THEW

A spokesman for the White House said on Tuesday that the opening of an impeachment investigation ordered by House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy against US President Joe Biden is "political extremism at its worst."

Ian Sams (pictured), White House spokesman for oversight and investigations, wrote on social media that McCarthy "flip-flopped" about his promise of holding a House vote to open an impeachment, "because he doesn't have support."

Moreover, Sams pointed out that even McCarthy's colleagues in the Republican Party agreed that during nine months of investigations, there was "no evidence of wrongdoing" from Biden and his family.
