The White House criticized Israel for routinely failing to intervene in a timely manner to prevent Israeli settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, The Times of Israel reported.
"Attacks by violent settlers against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank are unacceptable and must stop," a United States National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson told the news agency, following a riot in the West Bank village of Jit that claimed the life of one Palestinian.
The NSC urged Israeli authorities to take measures that would "protect all communities," including intervening and "holding all perpetrators of such violence to account."
