The administration of US President Donald Trump is reportedly considering inviting some of the individuals convicted for their involvement in the January 6 attack, who were pardoned shortly after Trump took office, to the White House. This could include an opportunity to meet with the president, according to two sources cited by CNN on Wednesday.
The sources emphasized that the official visit is still being evaluated, and neither the date nor the identities of those who may meet Trump have been confirmed.
On Monday, Trump pardoned over 1,000 individuals who were charged in connection with the January 6, 2021, US Capitol riot, while also commuting the sentences of key figures from the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers groups.
