Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Wednesday on the situation of the fuel market in the country. The concern was also echoed by the Minister of Economy, Anton Siluanov, who stressed that the ministry would work to solve the problem.
"Prices are rising, companies want to get the maximum profit by exporting ...We need to work more closely with companies so that they also understand their responsibility," Putin said at a meeting.
The news comes a day after The Wall Street Journal reported tensions between the Kremlin and oil companies over rising prices in the local market.
