Argentina's President Javier Milei notified all the BRICS members via a letter that his country will not join this organization, local media Todo Noticias reported on Friday, citing sources from the Argentinian presidency, Casa Rosada revealed on Friday
Milei explained in letters sent to all the heads of state of the BRICS members that his government's foreign policy differs from the previous government's, adding that the decisions made by former President Alberto Fernandez's administration will be revised.
Argentina was expected to join the BRICS in January 2024 along with Egypt, Iran, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
