Intel plans to supply processors for 100 million AI-enabled PCs by 2025, senior executives told Nikkei Asia on Tuesday.
According to Intel's Vice President of Client Computing Group, David Feng, the company plans to deliver 40 million AI PCs in the current year and 60 million in the following year. The target represents over 20% of the projected global PC market by 2025.
Feng also took the opportunity to mention Intel is working closely with Microsoft to pioneer the AI PC concept, featuring Intel's Core Ultra PC chipset with a built-in neural processing unit (NPU) for AI workloads, Microsoft's AI chatbot Copilot and a dedicated "Copilot key" on the keyboard.
