Russia and Ukraine exchanged a total of 190 captured soldiers under the mediation of the United Arab Emirates, the Russian Defense Ministry revealed in a post on Telegram on Wednesday.
"As a result of the negotiation process, 95 Russian servicemen who were in mortal danger in captivity have been returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime," the ministry said, adding that 95 Ukrainian soldiers had been released in return.
The two countries have swapped nearly 1,400 prisoners since the beginning of 2024.
