Pelosi allegedly told Biden polls show he can't win

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi supposedly told United States President Joe Biden in private that polling shows he can't come out on top in the country's presidential race, CNN reported, citing four sources briefed on the call.

In the "recent" conversation, Pelosi told Biden that he could destroy Democrats' chances of winning the House in November if he sticks to seeking a second term, according to the report. This in turn prompted Biden to push back by telling Pelosi he had seen polls that indicated he could win, according to one of the sources, while another source described him as "defensive" about the matter.

None of the quoted sources indicated to the news agency whether Pelosi told Biden that he should drop out of the race.
