Herzog: UN complaints impede Gaza aid expansion

Israeli President Isaac Herzog said on Thursday that humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza could be expanded if the United Nations would do its job rather than complain.

"Unfortunately, due to a decisive failure of the United Nations, they are unable to bring in more than 125 trucks a day," Herzog stressed during the meeting with Gerard Larcher, president of the French Senate.

Later in the day, the UN Security Council is expected to vote on a resolution that seeks to boost humanitarian aid to Gaza.
