The number of fatalities in the Jeju Air flight crash in South Korea's Muan has risen to 85 as authorities fear that only two out of 181 passengers on board survived the deathly accident, Yonhap News Agency reported.
In addition to firefighters and medical personnel, 180 members of the military have been deployed to aid the ongoing rescue efforts.
Meanwhile, Jeju Air Company issued an official apology on social media. The company also said it is investigating the "details of the situation" adding that the aircraft has been in operation for 15 years without any prior history of accidents.
