Alphabet Inc.'s Class A shares soared 5% Thursday following Google's launch of Gemini, a new AI model described by the company as the most "capable" and largest they have produced so far.
According to Google, there are three versions of Gemini based on capacity and efficiency: Ultra, Pro, and Nano. Yesterday, along with this launch, the company unveiled its latest Gemini-equipped Pixel 8 Pro and launched a new AI accelerator and a new AI hypercomputer.
At 9:37 am ET, Alphabet shares were up 5.38% and were selling at $137.02.
