Amazon.com, Inc. launched on Thursday a new shopping feature Virtual Try-On for Shoes, that will allow users to try on footwear virtually before deciding to buy them.
This new augmented reality shopping tool will make online purchasing more interactive for customers as they will be able to aim at their feet with their smartphone camera to see virtually how the shoes of their choice look when worn and browses through different colors. However, to find out the level of comfort and the right size of the footgear, shoppers will still have to try the model in person.
Amazon's announced earlier this week that its shares went up more than 5% after the company's 20-for-1 stock split went into effect on Monday.
