Itamar Ben-Gvir, an Israeli far-right politician who served as the Minister of National Security until he resigned in January, is coming back to the government, a joint statement showed on Tuesday.

In the statement, issued by his Otzma Yehudit party and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, it was revealed that the two have agreed that the former would return to the Israeli government today.

Earlier this year, the Otzma Yehudit party decided to part ways with the government as Israel entered into a ceasefire agreement with Hamas. However, yesterday's attack on Gaza brought Ben-Gvir back, as he praised the resumption of "intense fighting."
