Bessent said to prioritize some countries for trade deals

United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is prioritizing certain countries when it comes to making trade deals, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

According to the sources, Washington's current top targets are the United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, India, and Japan. The sources added that Bessent has been in contact with representatives from each of the aforementioned countries.

Earlier today, US National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett told CNBC that 10 nations already made "amazing" offers to the Trump administration.
