Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov (pictured) said on Tuesday that United States President Joe Biden's trip to Saudi Arabia was "useless." The outcome of the meetings between the two delegations last week did not live up to Washington's expectations, Bogdanov underlined in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He also noted that member countries of the OPEC+ alliance are discussing their joint oil production policy and that the bilateral talks between the US and other nations will not affect the process.
Earlier in the day, Saudi Arabia's foreign minister stated that Russia is an integral part of the OPEC+ group. He added that refining capacities are limited and that there is no shortage in oil supply, seemingly opposing Washington's longstanding view of the situation on the global market.
