Biden welcomes Air India's acquisition of US-made Boeings

United States President Joe Biden (pictured) welcomed on Tuesday India's recent purchase of more than 200 America-made aircraft.

According to Biden, this move is an essential milestone because "America can and will lead the world in manufacturing." In addition, the purchase will create more than one million jobs in 44 states.

"This announcement also reflects the strength of the US-India economic partnership. Together with Prime Minister Modi, I look forward to deepening our partnership," said the president in a statement published by the White House after the deal was announced.
