Theodore "Ted" Colbert III (pictured), the leader of The Boeing Company's subsidy Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is departing the enterprise after 15 years with it, CNBC reported.
The news was said to have come from an e-mail Boeing Chief Executive Office (CEO) Kelly Ortberg sent to the employees. It came after BDS suffered a significant increase in costs in the past few years, although it was not made clear whose decision it was for Colbert to leave.
"At this critical juncture, our priority is to restore the trust of our customers and meet the high standards they expect of us to enable their critical missions around the world," Ortberg's e-mail said. "Working together we can and will improve our performance and ensure we deliver on our commitments."
