Campbell voted next US deputy secretary of state

Kurt Campbell, United States President Joe Biden's top Asia aide, was voted to take the position of deputy secretary of state on Tuesday.

Senate voted 92-5 in favor of his appointment. Campbell, 66, is currently acting as coordinator for Indo-Pacific Affairs on the National Security Council.

Back in 2013, Campbell founded the Asia Group, a strategic advisory firm.
