The Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre reported 11 new forest fires, bringing the total number of active blazes in the country to 424.
Wildfires have consumed approximately 45,000 square kilometers of terrain in Canada up to now, marking 2023 as one of the most disastrous years for wildfires in history, as stated by the center.
The tally for this year has reached 2,422 in the country so far, with poisonous smoke also affecting neighboring United States.
