North Korea announced on Monday that a Chinese delegation will be visiting the country "to take part in the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War," KCNA reported.
The delegation, which was invited by Pyongyang, will be led by Li Hongzhong, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress.
This is the first official invitation of foreign guests since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic which struck the world in 2020.
