United States State Department spokesperson Ned Price underscored on Tuesday that it is in the collective interest of countries around the world to end their reliance on Russian energy.

"Russia is not a reliable source of energy," the State Department spokesperson said, emphasizing the need for India to gradually reduce its reliance on Russian energy imports for its own national security. "Now is not the time to do business as usual with Russia," Price stressed, urging the countries globally to cut economic ties with Moscow.

Earlier today, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reaffirmed the cooperation with Russia on the energy supply during the meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
