At 3:11 am ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures dropped 1,000 points, or 2.37%. S&P 500 futures tumbled 3.9%, and Nasdaq-100 futures fell 3.46%. In currency markets, the euro was up 1.12% against the US dollar, selling at $1.09752.
