Egypt signs deal to buy 30 fighter jets from France

Egypt signed an agreement to buy 30 Dassault Rafale fighter jets from France, the country's Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday.

The Egyptian ministry noted the contract will be financed through a loan which will be repaid over at least 10 years. French Defense Minister Florence Parly stressed the agreement will secure 7,000 industrial jobs in the country over the next three years.

Earlier, the French website Disclose reported the deal is worth €3.75 billion.
