The Paris Saint-Germain Football Club head coach, Christophe Galtier, officially confirmed at a press conference on Thursday that superstar Lionel Messi will be parting ways with the club following the end of the season in June.
"I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. It will be Leo’s last match at the Parc des Princes against Clermont," Galtier revealed. He went on to praise Messi's efforts in the latest season, calling any criticism against the 35-year-old start from Argentina unjustified.
Messi, who joined PSG back in August 2021, has so far had 16 assists and 16 goals in the 85th season of French Ligue 1. The footballer previously received an offer from Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal FC, with reports saying that this was a "done deal." Nevertheless, his father later debunked the news of the transfer.
