Lukas Martens of Germany won gold in the men's 400-meter freestyle at the 2024 Olympics on Saturday.
Martens finished with a time of 3:41.78, edging out Australia's Elijah Winnington and South Korea's Kim Woo-min. Winnington clocked 3:42.21 for silver, while Woo-min took bronze with 3:42.50.
Martens improved significantly from his 12th-place finish in the heats at his Olympic debut three years ago.
