The German military is planning to acquire 82 attack helicopters from Airbus SE's division, Airbus Helicopters, according to a statement by the French aircraft manufacturer on Tuesday.
"Defence and security is one of Airbus Helicopters' strategic priorities and we continue to innovate and develop to increase mission capabilities for our customers. The German armed forces signing the largest H145M contract with up to 82 light attack helicopters at the end of 2023 is testimony to that," the company's sales report stated.
Furthermore, the company recorded a total of 410 requests for purchase in 2023 and delivered 346 helicopters to 179 customers across 47 different countries. This represents a growth of 10% compared to 2022.
