Pence to 'evaluate' Jan. 6 committee's requests

Former United States Vice President Mike Pence has declined to commit to cooperating with the select House committee that is investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Asked whether he'll cooperate with the special congressional committee Pence told Fox News and the Associated Press that his office will "evaluate any of those requests as they come." "January 6 was a tragic day in the life of our nation's capital, but thanks to the efforts of law enforcement that day, we quelled the riot and reconvened the Congress, and we completed our work."

The House committee has recently moved forward with the criminal contempt charge of former Assistant US Attorney General Jeffrey Clark for refusing to provide his testimony on the incident and White House counselor Steve Bannon was already indicted in November after the House in October voted to hold him in contempt of Congress.
