United States House Representative from Georgia's 14th district Marjorie Taylor Greene said on Wednesday during a press conference that she will be calling for a vote to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson next week.

"I think every member of Congress needs to take that vote and let the chips fall where they may. And so next week, I am going to be calling this motion to vacate," she said.

Meanwhile, House Democrats announced they plan to block these efforts, with House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries stating the motion "will not succeed."
