United States Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Friday that the newly announced F-47 fighter jet will allow the US to have "generations of air dominance." He said the aircraft sends a "clear message" both to Washington's allies and adversaries that the US is "not going anywhere and we will be able to project power for generations to come."

Hegseth thanked US President Donald Trump for his leadership and hailed the development as a "big day for our country and the world." He said investing in F-47s will help rebuild the US military and claimed it "looked like fools" under the Biden administration.
