The Yemen-based Houthi official Abdulqader al-Mortada stated in a social media post that the retaliatory strikes announced by the United States and the United Kingdom "do not intimidate them."
Following the announcement of upcoming strikes against land-based Houthi targets in Yemen, the Houthi official stressed such threats would not "terrorize" or "scare" the rebel group, and would instead "reinforce their faith," when it comes to fulfilling their duty towards their "brethren in Gaza."
He went on to call their cause "just", reiterating their resolve when it comes to continuing their attacks on vessels in the Red Sea until the war in the Gaza Strip is stopped.
