Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared on Friday a state of "maximum alert" in all of its bases and camps across the country, Sabereen News reported on Friday.

IRGC Brigadier General Ahmad Haghtalab said in a statement that "if the Zionist regime wants to take action against our nuclear centers and facilities, we will surely and categorically reciprocate with advanced missiles against their own nuclear sites." Meanwhile, Iranian state media shared that the country's nuclear facilities were unharmed and that Israel wasn't targetting them, but rather a military base.

The announcement comes following reports that Israel struck sites in Iran, with one of them being Isfahan, a city holding some of the country's largest nuclear facilities.
